EXPERIENCE MY PASSION
Hi, I'm
Dan Elder.
I was born in the small town of Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Throughout my life, I have
been enamoured by motion and the idea of fantastical things being brought to visual
life. I was naturally drawn to animated films and spent most of my youth drawing and
comic book panels.
After a 3-year animation course, I landed my first industry job on the East Coast of
Canada. Following that, I found my way to Ottawa, Ontario. I tried my hand at a
variety of roles in the animation pipeline, and eventually, I landed in FX. I had found
my passion and I've been here ever since.

FX animation is my specialty, and I also have experience in several other
departments. I am constantly working to improve my art and management skills. This way I can be the best possible addition to any project that could use some high-quality, hand-drawn animation and help and bring a production to the next level.
